A satellite is any object which orbits another object. All bodies that is part of solar system, for example the Earth and Jupiter are satellites. Most of these bodies orbit the suns, but others orbit planets. For example, the moon orbits the Earth. When we use the term ‘satellite’, we usually mean an artificial satellite. This is a man made object that orbits the Earth, or another body. However, scientist may also use the term for natural satellites, or moons.
