A satellite is any object which orbit another object. All bodies that are part of the solar system, for example the Erath and Jupiter, are satellites. Most of these bodies orbit the sun, but other orbit planets. For example, the moon orbits the Earth. When we using the term “satellite” we usually mean an artificial satellite. This is a man-made object that orbits the Earth, or another body. However, scientists may also use the term for natural satellites, or moons.
