During sleep the brain repairs itself and stores information. If we do not sleep, then we the brain cannot do these things. People sleep badly when they are not relaxed. They are thinking about their studies, make phone call, or look at email messages. Late at night they have too much drink which contains caffeine. To sleep well, we need make sure that the bed is comfortable, have the same routine every evening before we go to bed and go to bed at the same time every night.
