Mumbai, which is also known as Bombay, lies on the west coast of India. The best time to visit is during the most December, January, and February. The spring very hot and the summer are wet because this is the monsoon seasons which are usually cool and dry. The city has a population 18 million people which makes it the largest city in India. It is famous for its very successful film industry and its port which is called Bollywood. It is also an import commercial centre. The city was founded in1668 by the British East India Company. There are many sights to see in Mumbai, including the Mani Bhavan Museum, and the famous Chowpatty beach where the people of Mumbai like to walk in the evenings.
