Writing about food and drink ( Lemang )
The most important food in Malaysia is lemang. Lemang is really a part of Malaysia culture. People can eat lemang at any time but it usually prepared for festivities such as Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Hari Raya Haji. Lemang is made of glutinous rice and coconut milk, with salt added for taste. It slowly cooked over the fire for few hours in a hollowed bamboo stick lined with banana leaf to prevent the rice from sticking to the bamboo. Finally, they serve lemang. It is very delicious eaten with rendang.
