The most important food in Malaysia is rice. All the three major races in Malaysia, which are Malay, Chinese and Indian, eat rice as the main course in their meals. Usually, Malaysians eat rice two or three times a day. Rice can be served with other dishes such as chicken curry or soup. One of the most popular meals is 'nasi lemak'. Normally, 'nasi lemak' is served with 'sambal' and boiled egg. It is suitable to be taken whether as breakfast, lunch or dinner. 'Nasi lemak' is originally a Malay food but nowadays, the Indian Muslims also serve 'nasi lemak' at their restaurants.

The most important food in Chinese is Bakkwa or rougan. Bakkwa commonly known as BBQ pork, is a food tradition from southern china. The meat used to producing Bakkwa is usually pork include chicken, beef, and even vegetarian Bakkwa made from soya sources. It is made in the form of flat thin sheets. In the past, Bakkwa was considered a luxury good and most families bought it during festive season especially Chinese New Year. Consumers would present them to their parents, siblings, relatives or friends. The bakkwa packaging is often bright red and adds to the festive atmosphere. The most important drink in Malay culture is Cendol.Formerly, it was made of only shaved ice and red beans. Today, ice kacang generally comes in bright colours, and with different fruit cocktails and dressings. Several varieties have also been introduced which contain aloe vera in some form or another, such as in jelly form. Often, a large serving of attap chee (palm seed), red beans, sweetcorn, grass jelly, cubes of agar agar and cendol form the base. Evaporated milk is drizzled over the mountain of ice. To cater to the palates of the modern customer, some stalls have even introduced novelty toppings like durian, chocolate syrup and ice cream. The Tamil festival of Thai Ponggal is a thanks giving ceremony in which the farmers celebrate the event to thank the spirits of nature spirit, the Sun and the farm animals for their assistance in providing a successful harvest. The rice is cooked and prepared as a dish called ponggal, which is rice with dhal and sugar. This ponggal variety is called venponggal, ven meaning white. Another variety is also prepared with dhal and jaggery (sweet), called chakra ponggal, chakrai meaning sweet. Some Hindu scholars believe that the rice is ceremoniously cooked on the Thai Ponggal day because of its importance as a potent symbol of auspiciousness and fertility. Maximum speed-up to 10 mph on p-Series and 12.5 mph on i-Series and max turning rate.
